Recently, a group of our Year 8 students travelled to Medina to compete in the Indoor Athletics Championships!
This event is always a favourite, featuring a range of activities including long jump, speed bounce, sprints and obstacle races.
Whilst the field event placements are still to be confirmed, we had some fantastic individual and team performances in the running, including:
Darcey placing 1st in the two-lap sprint
The girls’ relay team (Scarlett, Jedidah, Alexandra, and Darcey) finishing 2nd
Scarlett and Alexandra placing 3rd in the paarlauf
To top off an excellent afternoon, both our boys’ and girls’ teams placed 1st in the obstacle race.
As Andrew put it best,“We seem to win when there are things in the way!”
Well done to everyone involved in another brilliant fixture, we are very proud of you all.
