It's important to know what to expect from your school our agreement highlights those next steps

The parent(s)/carer(s) should ensure that
  • Their child is in full school uniform as per the school policy
  • Their child attends regularly and is punctual - Attendance Matters
  • School staff are informed of any concerns that affects their child’s work or behaviour and attend parent/teacher meetings to discuss their child’s progress
  • Support of all Lift Ryde policies and guidelines including behaviour is consistently shown.
  • They support Lift Ryde  in encouraging their child to fully participate in all offered learning opportunities, both in school time and when at home.  
  • Their child behaves in a responsible and positive manner towards others 
  • They support their child with their learning and encourage them to make the most of the opportunities at Lift Ryde, adhering to school policies for expectations in lessons and outside of lessons with homework.
  • They show consideration for the fact that the school is a busy environment, showing patience and politeness to our staff; they ensure that all communication is in line with our effective communication policy.
  • They return all school equipment including Chromebook and Yondr Pouch upon their student leaving the school. 
The school will
  • Care for your child’s safety and happiness and help them achieve their potential
  • Listen to student’s concerns and problems with respect and understanding
  • Have a Special Needs Policy and appropriate activities to ensure all students’ needs are addressed across the ability spectrum
  • Provide a balanced curriculum and set homework
  • Deal with complaints promptly and keep parents informed about Lift Ryde activities through the Arbor app, newsletter and via social media. 
  • Be open and welcoming at all times within school hours.
  • Use Ryde Routines to support all students with their learning.
The student will
  • Attend regularly, on time, wearing the correct uniform and be equipped with the correct resources to contribute to lessons (click here to view the learning kit expectations)
  • Treat other students and school staff with respect, tolerance and kindness
  • Observe all Lift Ryde policies
  • Adhere to the responsible use of IT policy
  • Ask for help when it is required
  • Become involved in extracurricular activities
  • Actively participate in their learning both at school and at home
  • Behave in a way which brings credit to the school at all times, including when travelling or on school visits
  • Represent the school positively within the community at all times.
  • Respect all school equipment that they have been loaned (including Chromebook and Yondr Pouch) and will return these in a good working condition upon their student leaving the school.
