Miss Baxter took a group of our Year 11 students to GCSE Science Live! in Brighton.
The aim of this trip was to give our Year 11 Scientists an exciting and thought- provoking experience, and give them a chance to raise and discuss issues with leading figures in the Science industry.

Alongside the interesting and varied lectures that took place on stage, our students also received some useful tips on how to improve their Science GCSE results from specialist Science examiner, Stewart Chenery. These were delivered over two sessions, and included advice on how to revise and prepare for the real Science examinations in the Summer. Our students will also be able to apply these new methods to their revision for their mock exams this week, and see the difference it makes to their results.
Following the event, our Year 11s were able to have two hours of leisure timein Brighton to spend as they pleased. This was a reward for their excellent engagement throughout the talks, and hard work across the year so far. Theyrepresented our school fantastically, and asked some thoughtful and insightful questions. We know that they will successfully apply the knowledge gained from this experience to their lessons and studies at home.
