On Tuesday, Darcey E (Year 8) and Leo K (Year 7) travelled with a group of students to represent the Isle of Wight in
the Hampshire Cross Country Championships.
Both students had qualified after their success in the Island Championships last half term. They travelled to Basingstoke and were treated to some lovely weather, which meant the grounds were in good condition for cross country.
Both Darcey and Leo ran with over 100 runners in each of their age categories, and despite the tough competition, held their own throughout the whole race.
They showed true determination and grit on a hilly course! It was a fantastic day celebrating very talented runners.
Well done to Darcey and Leo! You made us very proud!
