Last week, some of our Year 9s travelled up to the Imperial War Museum in London for a fantastic, informative day filled with history!

Our students spent the day looking around the museum’s various exhibits and galleries, covering conflicts from the First World War to the present day. They got to see tanks, different designs of gas masks over time, recreations of trenches, numerous war-themed art works, and much more! They were also able to chat to museum staff and find out lots of interesting information about the items they were looking at, and the wars they came from.

We were so pleased to see our students’ enthusiasm for learning extending outside of the classroom, taking in all that the museum has to offer. It has been amazing for them to gain knowledge on Wars and conflicts, and pay respects to the sacrifices made in these.

Our students were incredibly well-behaved and represented our school perfectly. We hope that they had a wonderful day in London and are applying what they learned to their History lessons. Well done, Year 9!
