Last week, we hosted our whole-school Careers Fair! A wide variety of education and employment providers visited our site for an entire day. This allowed them to talk to all Year groups, from our youngest to our eldest, about careers and future pathways.
We welcomed over 35 businesses to the fair, including Universities, the Police Force, Solicitors, Apprenticeship Providers, Engineering Companies and even Drone Operators. There was something for every student to get stuck into on the day. Our Sports Hall was filled with the buzz of excited chatter, as students discussed their future plans among themselves, and asked thoughtful, insightful questions.
It was also wonderful to see some of our former Lift Ryde students return and share their journeys from school to their current careers! This was especially valuable to our current students, as it showed them the brilliant things a Lift Ryde student can achieve after leaving.
We would like to give a huge thank you to all of the fantastic professionals who gave up their time to visit and inspire our students. The encouragement and advice that they gave our young people was invaluable. We know that our students appreciated the time spent with them, and are now feeling motivated to think about all of the different career and educational paths available!
We must also thank Mrs Hillman, Mrs Eaton, and Mrs Walsh for planning and executing such an essential event for our students. We could not have done it without their dedication, expertise and hard work.
