Our latest news and events give you an insight into life at school.
World Book Day is always a highlight in our school calendar! Each year, our staff, across departments and teams, put together incredible costumes themed around books.
This year was no exception. We had a fantastic variety of literary-inspired costumes, from Gangsta Granny, to a band of pirates, to Shrek characters, and even real-life figures like Charles Darwin!
In the corridors, it was great to hear the buzz of students guessing who staff members were dressed as. They thought about literary classics and what these represented. We even had some of our 6th Form Campus students get involved in dressing up!
It was, as always, a delight to see literature of all forms being celebrated in this way. Reading opens up a world of imagination and wonder for our young people, allowing them to immerse themselves in new settings and stories. We hope that seeing our staff in their brightly coloured, creative costumes put a smile on their face, and encouraged them to read something new!
We are already looking forward to next year’s World Book Day, and can’t wait to see who our team will be then!
