Last week, we had a wonderful visitor and member of our Island community come into school!
100 years old in 4 weeks, Joan Livingstone is a long-retired headteacher with a huge passion for English and reading.
Joan has kindly donated her collection of poetry and literature books to our 6th form library. This will go a long way to supporting our post-16 students with their studies and love of learning, and we are very grateful for her kindness. What a lovely community gesture.
Even at the sprightly age of 99, Joan is still putting children and young people at the heart of who she is. Thank you, Joan!
