Last week, our Year 11 GCSE Drama students enjoyed a trip to the Mayflower Theatre with Mrs George!
As part of their GCSE course, Drama students are required to see a piece of live theatre in preparation for their exam paper. Our Year 11s were treated to a performance of the eerie 2:22 A Ghost Story, a play written by Danny Robins.
This production of the play starred presenter Stacey Dooley and her real-life partner, Strictly Come Dancing professional Kevin Clifton. The play focuses on a couple who begin hearing unexplainable noises in the middle of the night, becoming convinced that their house is haunted.
Our students were able to see how live theatre works, from the performers on stage, to the set design and lighting. They thoroughly enjoyed the experience and behaved impeccably. We hope that they got lots of ideas and useful information for their exam in the Summer!
